Dates for SEIB Trailblazers Championships 2019
We are delighted to announce that the 2019 SEIB Trailblazers Championships will once again take place at the impressive Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The Dodson & Horrell Dressage Championships will be on 26 – 28 July, Trailblazers Showing & Working Hunter Championships on 27 – 28 July, senior and junior Cavaletti Saddles Show Jumping Championships on 31 July – 3 August and Trailblazers Combined Training Championships on 1 – 2 August.
Following the same format as the 2018 SEIB Trailblazers Championships, there will be optional warm-up competition days; Friday 26 August for Dressage and Wednesday 31 July for Show Jumping. The Dodson & Horrell Dressage finals will be held over the Saturday and Sunday 27 – 28 July. The Cavaletti Saddles Show Jumping Championship Finals being held on two out of the three championship days between Thursday 1 – Saturday 3 August.
As the Cavaletti Saddles Show Jumping Championships are spread over three days, junior and senior competitors may qualify for more than two Championship Finals on any one horse or pony. Each Championship final will still consist of two competitions, points will be awarded in each competition (e.g. 25 for 1st place down to 1 point for 25th place), with the overall Champion being the competitor with the greatest number of points after two competitions. There will be a greater number of points awarded for a placing in the 2nd competition than in the 1st competition.
Access to Stoneleigh Park will be available from 2pm on Thursday 25 July. Competitors may remain on site after the dressage and showing, relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of Stoneleigh Park; or alternatively, they may arrive from 2pm on Tuesday 30 July. On site stables will be available to hire on a daily basis starting with a two night option extending to the duration of the Championships. Of course, competitors may travel daily and need not arrive until just before the start of their Championship Final.
Further information on the finals will be available in the Trailblazers Championship schedule, which will be sent to qualified competitors providing their postal address and it will also be available on this website from June.
First round competitions are currently being hosted at many of our Trailblazers Approved venues, with second rounds scheduled from March – May. Don’t forget there are now no second rounds for Combined Training or Showing & Working Hunter qualifiers. Additionally, once you have gained your direct qualification you may enter any Showing & Working Hunter Championship class, as long as you are eligible.
May we wish you all every success in your individual quest to qualify for the 2019 finals. We look forward to welcoming back the familiar faces and meeting many of you at the SEIB Trailblazers Championship Finals.
