Dates for SEIB Trailblazers Championships 2018
We are delighted to announce that the 2018 SEIB Trailblazers Championships will once again take place at the impressive Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The senior and junior Dodson & Horrell Dressage Championships will be on 27 – 29 July, SUPREME PRODUCTS Showing & Working Hunter Championships on 28 – 29 July, senior and junior Albion Show Jumping Championships on 1 – 4 August and Griffin NuuMed Combined Training Championships on 2 – 3 August.
Following the same format as the 2017 SEIB Trailblazers Championships, there will be optional dressage and show jumping warm up days. The Dodson & Horrell dressage finals will be held over the Saturday and Sunday 28 – 29 July. The junior and senior show jumping championships will include optional warm up classes taking place on Wednesday 1 August and the Championship Finals being held on two out of the three championship days between Thursday 2 – Saturday 4 August.
SUPREME PRODUCTS Showing & Working Hunter Championships held 28 – 29 July will take place in grass arenas adjacent to each other and near to the main stable area. Don’t forget there are no second rounds for Showing & Working Hunter classes, and once you have gain your direct qualification you may enter any Showing & Working Hunter Championship class, as long as you are eligible.
As the Albion Show Jumping Championships are spread over three days, junior and senior competitors may qualify for more than two Championship Finals on any one horse or pony. Each Championship final will still consist of two competitions, points will be awarded in each competition (e.g. 25 for 1st place down to 1 point for 25th place), with the overall Champion being the competitor with the greatest number of points after two competitions. There will be a greater number of points awarded for a placing in the 2nd competition than in the 1st competition.
Access to Stoneleigh Park will be available from 2pm on Thursday 26 July. Competitors may remain on site after the dressage and showing, relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of Stoneleigh Park; or alternatively, they may arrive from 2pm on Tuesday 31 July. On site stables will be available to hire on a daily basis starting with a two night option extending to the duration of the Championships. Of course, competitors may travel daily and need not arrive until just before the start of their Championship Final.
Further information on the finals will be available in the Trailblazers Championship schedule, which will be sent to qualified competitors providing their postal address and it will also be available on this website from June.
May we wish you all every success in your individual quest to qualify for the 2018 finals. We look forward to welcoming back the familiar faces and meeting many of you at the SEIB Trailblazers Championship Finals.
