Show Jumping at the Trailblazers Championships 2015

showjumping timetable

The junior and senior show jumping championships will include optional warm up classes taking place on Thursday 23 July and the Championship Finals being held on two out of the three championship days between Friday24 – Sunday 26 July.

Competitors may download the competition timetable for show jumping competitions at the Trailblazers Championship. As competition has been spread over a greater number of days, junior and senior competitors may now qualify for more than two Championship Finals on any one horse or pony. Each Championship final will still consist of two competitions, points will be awarded in each competition (e.g. 25 for 1st place down to 1 point for 25th place), with the overall Champion being the competitor with the greatest number of points after two competitions. There will be a greater number of points awarded for a placing in the 2nd competition than in the 1st competition.

"In addition to the normal warm up arenas for each of the two show jumping competition arenas; there will be an additional all weather warm up arena and the general exercise grass arena. As a junior competitor" says Kelvin "I used to enjoy staying away at shows and enjoyed watching the senior competitions. Stoneleigh Park is old parkland and is a beautiful and fitting setting for the Championships."

Course designers confirmed for the championships are David Cole and Paul Connor, both international course designers who have built at all levels and at many different shows. Paul, whose major highlight to date was being part of the London 2012 course design team says "having spent many years as a show jumping competitor and BHS instructor, I enjoy my course design and I’m really looking forward to joining the team at Trailblazers."

Unless you have been staying on site and relaxing in the beautiful soundings of Stoneleigh Park following the dressage, competitors may start arriving from 2pm on Wednesday 22 July. Stables will be able to be hired on a daily basis starting with up to a two day hire period and extending through to the duration of both weekends. Of course, competitors may travel daily or need not arrive until just before the start of their Championship Final. Further information will be in the Trailblazers Championship schedule.

May we wish you all every success in your quest at second rounds to qualify for this year’s Championship Finals and we look forward to meeting many of you at the Championships in July.
